Non-brush, Monochromatic, Emotional painting Reflection. April 16, 2013.
1. Evaluate. I like the use of different colors and shades of orange to create the outline of the face because you can tell what it looks like.
2. Evaluate. I could have done a better job with my details because its really simplistic.
3. Describe. My theme is mystery or loneliness and I showed this by painting a face that is just blank because It desplaced those emotions to me.
4. Describe. I used the hue orange because its my favorite color. It helps create the theme because orange doesnt rhyme with anything so it must be lonely.
5. Analyze. I painted on a canvas with my fingers because I had to.. the drawbacks of this was that my painting is lacking details it could have had with brushs.
6. Metacognate. I learned that you can create art without just a brush and canvas, that you can use other things to get it done.
Exeeeding:
7. unlike other projects I actually had an idea this time. I painted the foreground first so that i could the look I wanted and then did the background because I didnt know what to do for my background yet. I used my fingers to paint because I didnt like the pallet knife.
8. Yes but spilt them up! you should do an emotional monochromatic painting and then a non-brush because trying to do both was a little challenging.
